Scholarships
We are no longer using coupon codes as we did last year. Instead, families will need to apply for a scholarship. If a student is selected, families will be notified and the scholarship will be applied to their account.
Scholarship Information
- Students may be eligible for free or reduced camp tuition by submitting a 2026 STEAM Summer Camp Scholarship Application.
- Scholarship funding is provided through national and state grants, corporate and private donations, and participating school districts. Donations may be made using this link. School districts interested in providing scholarships for their students may contact Tiffany Hoage at hoaget@uwstout.edu.
- Families are especially encouraged to apply if their student:
- Resides in Wisconsin and qualifies for the free or reduced-price lunch program - funding for 500 scholarships has been provided through the Wisconsin DPI’s Precollege Scholarship Program Grant, or
- Attends one of the following school districts: Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, or Menomonie.
Payment and Payment Plan Policy
- Payments or payment plans must be set up by May 31, 2026, and scheduled for completion by September 1, 2026.
- Payment plans can be set up through CampDoc.
- Payment plans not completed by September 1, 2026, will be canceled, and families will be asked to submit a new plan.
Cancelation and Refund Policy
All cancelation requests must be submitted in writing (email accepted) by a parent or guardian.
Full Refund
- Cancelations received on or before April 15, 2026, will receive a full refund (excluding scholarships and the CampDoc platform fee).
- After April 15, 2026, refunds will only be considered for extenuating circumstances.
Partial Refund
- If a cancelation occurs within 14 days of the camp start date due to extenuating circumstances, a 50% refund will be issued (excluding scholarships and the CampDoc platform fee).
Program Changes and Cancelation Policy
The university reserves the right to make changes to programs or activities, or to cancel programs if enrollment criteria are not met or if conditions beyond its control arise. Every effort will be made to contact participants if a program is canceled for any reason. The university's liability is limited to the refund of the camp tuition.
Camper Conduct Policy
UW-Stout reserves the right to dismiss any camper from the STEAM Summer Camps if their conduct, language, dress, or attitude is deemed inappropriate or disruptive. If, in the judgment of the camp administration and counseling staff, a camper’s behavior negatively impacts the well-being of others or the smooth operation of the camp, they may be dismissed. Parents or legal guardians will be notified prior to dismissal and are responsible for arranging the camper’s immediate departure from camp. No refunds will be issued in the event of dismissal due to misconduct.
