Housing is available the night prior to First Year Registration and Orientation for students who have registered for FYRO and have a signed a Housing and Dining contract. Please note that spaces are limited, we encourage you to apply at least one week in advance to confirm availability.
About Your Stay
- Billing information
- $23 per person and $5 for parking.
- The cost of your stay will be placed on your fall bill.
- Please note that you will be charged for reservation, regardless of if you check in or not unless you cancel at least 48 hours prior to your reservation at housing@uwstout.edu.
- What is included?
- Climate controlled room with linens.
- Guests
- Any guests over the age of 18 may stay with you.
- Rooms have two beds in them, if you are bringing more than one guest, we will assign a second room for you.
- As a reminder you are responsible for the actions of your guests.
- Checking in and out
- Check in is available 6pm-10pm.
- Once your reservation is processed, we will email you arrival and check in directions.
- Check out is prior to 8am so that you are ready to attend FYRO. Directions will be provided to you at check in.
Steps to Request FYRO Housing
- Sign into the Housing Gateway.
- Select the request tile and click ‘Request Service Item’.
- Enter your name and select ‘Request Contract’ under task type.
- Select ‘FYRO’ under Sub-Type.
Under Summary copy and paste the text below and enter the required information.

I understand that my reservation costs will be placed on my Fall student bill. I understand I will be charged for my reservation regardless of check in unless I cancel 48 hours prior to the reservation. I agree to follow all residence hall policies found in the Hall Handbook including but not limited to being responsible for the actions of my guests.
