The Stout University Foundation supports scholarships for full-time or part-time degree-seeking graduate students. It's easy to apply, one application will automatically qualify you for any foundation scholarship which you meet the criteria for.
Graduate Assistantships (GAs) are paid positions at UW-Stout where you also have the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience.
Openings are posted on Handshake by academic programs and administrative units, and the process of searching for one and applying is much like finding any other kind of employment.
To hold a Graduate Assistantship (GA), you must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be admitted to a graduate degree program (dual-level and non-degree seeking students are not eligible)
- Enroll in at least six graduate credits each term
- Maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 each term
We are not offering any application fee waivers at the graduate level. You will be required to pay the $56 application fee.
No, GRE scores are not required.
No, we do not accept unofficial transcripts. Transcripts must be official and sent directly to us from the institution.
No, we do not accept transcripts from students. Before an admission decision can be made, we need to have your official transcript on file, and it must be sent to us directly from the institution.
To check your application status, you will need to log in to Access Stout. Access Stout is an online program that allows students to access their student record. Using this service, you can search and register for classes, view your class schedule, check for holds and to do items, view your required textbooks, access your final semester grades, etc.
- Visit myapps.uwstout.edu or navigate to the Login page (upper right corner of uwstout.edu)
- Log in to Access Stout using your credentials. Remember, your email address is formatted username@my.uwstout.edu
- After logging in to Access Stout, select Self Service.
- Click on Admissions > Application Status near the bottom of the screen.
- On this page you'll see a row of application-related information including your entry term, program, plan, and application date.
- Below that you'll find any outstanding checklist items that are needed to complete your application. These are very important! If you are concerned about any items that need to be resolved, please email or call us and we'll help you get everything sorted out.
