Campus Visits Response to COVID-19

UW-Stout, like other universities, is actively engaged in efforts to mitigate the impacts from COVID-19 (commonly known as coronavirus). This has challenged us to navigate some unchartered waters. Our team is working hard to bring the UW-Stout experience to you, and we are here and ready to connect with you. See visit experience options below!

Modified On-Campus Summer Visit Experience (coming soon)

We are excited to open registration for our in-person campus visits in early June, but it is incredibly important to us that we do so safely. Below are the restrictions in response to COVID-19:

  • All attendees, tour guides and staff members are required to wear masks during the campus visit. If you do not have a mask, we will provide one for you.
  • The total group size will be limited to under 10 visitors.
  • Social distancing is required throughout the campus visit. You will need to maintain a 6-foot distance between you and other visiting families.
  • Dining facilities on campus are currently closed.
  • The bookstore (Stout Fitters) is currently closed.
  • Not all buildings on campus will be available. On the guided tour you will see the Memorial Student Center, one academic building (Jarvis Hall Science Wing), and one residence hall. Your tour guide will still provide information on all of campus and show a short video of buildings and labs, but will not be allowed to enter any other buildings.
  • The tour guide will have access to the buildings included in your guided tour, but all buildings are locked, and you will not be available for you to explore before or after your tour.

These visits are subject to change based on guidelines set forth in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
