Campus Visits Response to COVID-19

UW-Stout, like other universities, is actively engaged in efforts to mitigate the impacts from COVID-19 (commonly known as coronavirus). This has challenged us to navigate some unchartered waters. Our team is working hard to bring the UW-Stout experience to you, and we are here and ready to connect with you. See visit experience options below!

Modified Daily Weekday Campus Visit Experience OPEN NOW!!

We are excited to open registration for our in-person daily weekday campus visits but it is incredibly important to us that we do so safely. For a full description of the health and safety measures being implemented on our campus, please visit our COVID-19 website. Below are the precautions we are taking specific to campus tours to ensure the health and safety of our staff and visitors in response to COVID-19:

  • Please do not attend your visit if you or anyone in your household is ill
  • All attendees, tour guides and staff members are required to wear masks during the campus visit (unless an individual has an underlying health issue that prevents the use of a mask). If you do not have a mask, we will provide one for you.
  • The total group size will be limited to 9 visitors.
  • Social distancing is required throughout the campus visit. You will need to maintain a 6-foot distance between you, other visiting families, Admissions staff, and tour guides.
  • Dining facilities on campus are currently closed.
  • The bookstore (Stout Fitters) is currently closed.
  • Not all buildings on campus will be available. On the guided tour you will see the Memorial Student Center, one academic building (Jarvis Hall Science Wing), and one residence hall (160 Milnes). Your tour guide will still provide information on all of campus and show a short video of buildings and labs, but will not be allowed to enter any other buildings.
  • The tour guide will have access to the buildings included in your guided tour, but all buildings are locked, and will not be available for you to explore before or after your tour.

We will be offering arrival times of 10AM and 1PM for the month of June and adding an additional arrival time of 9AM for July and August.

Modified Daily Weekday Campus Visit Agenda:

  • Check-In
  • Admissions Information Session
  • Campus Tour Video and Modified Walking-Tour

These visits are subject to change based on guidelines set forth in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
