Office 212 Sorensen Hall

I am from a small town in Western Wisconsin. I came to UW-Stout right after graduating from high school and pursued my undergraduate degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management. I have always loved Menomonie and the rest of Western Wisconsin so I stayed here after getting my degree. When I’m not working, I love to travel, camp, play with my dogs and read.

Advice for a new student:

Get involved and make connections on campus!  Your college friends often become your best and lifelong friends. Your classes and education are very important, but spending time having fun and being with other people is also very important. Your professors and mentors are your biggest cheerleaders and they will help you to succeed in life and in your chosen career.

College Major/Minor:

I have a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management with a Minor in Business from UW-Stout.

Why did you choose your major?

I LOVE food and anything to do with it. I am also a very social person so naturally I wanted to combine these two things into a career. I also love event coordination and all that is involved with that.

What do you love most about UW-Stout?

The atmosphere and culture of the campus. UW-Stout feels like home to me. You get a sense of belonging and everyone wants you to succeed.

My favorite thing to do in Menomonie is…

Going to all the fabulous restaurants!! I also love the Mabel Tainter Theater and the downtown area.

A random fact about me...

I have three dogs and looking to get a couple of cats. I would not live anywhere except in the country.
