Activate Your UW-Stout Email Account: Activate your account as soon as you can and check it regularly. You will need your Campus ID for this, which can be found in the initial email sent to you after submitting your application.
Accept your Offer of Admission: Once you have decided to attend UW-Stout and want to confirm your intentions, let us know by accepting your Admission to UW-Stout!
Join our UW-Stout Transfer Student Facebook group: This group is exclusively for transfer students so you can meet and connect with other transfer students.
|Review & Complete your Housing Reservation (if applicable): After activating your UW-Stout email, University Housing will send you an email and mail you a Life@Stout booklet. Follow the online process to sign your contract and pay your $125 housing prepayment to reserve your residence hall space. Room selection times are based on the date you sign your contract and pay your prepayment. The earlier you sign, the earlier your room selection time will be.
|Apply for Stout University Foundation Scholarships: Apply for $1.2M+ in scholarships awarded by the Stout University Foundation. After the University Foundation Scholarship Application opens, submit a single application to be considered for every scholarship the foundation offers. Application Deadline: First Monday in February

|Schedule a Visit to Stout: Come visit us during our Campus Preview Days, Transfer Days and Stout Saturdays.
|File your 2024-2025 FAFSA for Financial Support: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using FAFSA School Code: 003915

|Stout University Foundation Scholarship Deadline: Don't miss out on applying for scholarship through the University Foundation.
|BFA Portfolio Priority Deadline: Portfolio due by midnight for all Art & Design BFA programs. Check your acceptance letter for information on how to contact the office of Art & Design for further information on submitting your portfolio and essay.
|Beginning in March
|Registration Information Sent: Receive Registration information, including how to complete your Student Account Contract.
|Complete Roommate Questionnaire (if applicable): If you signed a Housing contract, check your UW-Stout email for your Housing roommate questionnaire and information to prepare you for room and dining selection. Please follow the directions sent from University Housing to complete this through the Housing Gateway.
|Priority Deadline for FAFSA: If you applied for Stout University Foundation Scholarships, this is the priority FAFSA deadline to be eligible for financial need-based scholarships.
|Priority deadline to be considered for the Transfer Student Scholarship.
|Minnesota Reciprocity Application Opens: Minnesota residents must register for reciprocity.
|Fall registration opens. Register for classes online.
|Second Monday in June
|Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship application due.
|Financial aid award letters posted to Access Stout.
|Housing Information Arrives (if applicable): Check your UW-Stout email for room selection directions, and how to review your roommate information and residence hall assignment. Please follow directions sent by University Housing to know your room selection date/time and steps to choose and review your room selection.
|Parking permit registration begins. Registration available online.
|View Your Tuition Bill in Access Stout: You will receive notification to your UW-Stout email when your tuition bill is ready to view. View tuition due dates and authorize a parent or guest user on your account.
Set up your move-in process (if applicable). If you signed a Housing contract, check your UW-Stout email for instructions from University Housing to select a date and time during move-in week to move into your residence hall and set-up your room.
Sign Master Promissory Notes: If taking out student loan(s), sign Master Promissory Notes (MPN) online prior to beginning classes (Access Stout).

|Deadline to Submit College Transcripts: Deadline to submit your official final college transcripts showing Spring grades from your prior school to the Admissions Office.
|First week of September
|Move to Stout: Move into your residence hall or house/apartment, make friends, and have a blast during Welcome Week!
