Welcome to the University of Wisconsin-Stout!

We are excited to welcome you to the UW-Stout community! Human Resources offers comprehensive orientation experience to support your transition. The information below outlines the key components of your onboarding experience and the steps to help you get started in your new role.

Onboarding Dashboard

The Onboarding Dashboard is your central hub for key information to help you transition into your new role at UW-Stout. Access it through Workday, the cloud-based platform used by all UW faculty and staff for payroll, benefits, training, and more. You can find the dashboard via the Welcome announcement on your Workday Home Page.

Key features of the dashboard include:

  • Welcome messages
  • Employment paperwork
  • Links to campus information and services
  • Payroll and benefits resources and contact information 

New Employee Orientation  

During the virtual New Employee Orientation, you'll meet fellow new Stout colleagues and our Human Resources team, review new hire action items, and get an overview of HR and payroll processes. Sessions are offered every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Be sure to sign up within your first two weeks to ensure a smooth transition into your new role. SIGN UP HERE

Benefits Orientation

If you are eligible for benefits you will receive an email invitation to attend a virtual benefits orientation to answer your questions.

New@UW-Stout In-Person Program

You will be invited to the New@UW-Stout Orientation Program which is offered in August and January each year. The program focuses on UW-Stout’s rich history, culture, mission, and future plans.
