Working with undergraduates is an important aspect of research at UW–Stout.

There are several opportunities to get involved in the Chippewa Moraine Ephemeral Ponds Project.

Contact Dr. Amanda Little or Dr. James Church for information on paid internships or volunteering.

Please see the "Meet the Research Team" tab to learn more about the current and previous project members' experiences.

Some examples of skills students gain:

  • Ecological field work, sampling techniques, and laboratory procedures
  • Aquatic macro-invertebrate, plant, and amphibian identification
  • Installation and monitoring hydrologic equipment
  • Collecting water chemistry samples and using field meters

Many students involved with CMEPP even go on to present results and independent research projects at local, regional, and national professional society conferences.
