The Stout Ambassadors program was created in 2016 and is a collaborative project with the Involvement Center, Blue Devil Productions, the Alumni Association and Stout University Foundation. Stout Ambassadors represent the student body by attending homecoming events, two alumni events and a campus Career Conference. They also have a special breakfast with the chancellor during the academic year.
Students interested in becoming ambassadors have to fill out an application and be interviewed. Criteria for eligibility includes having a grade-point average of at least 3.0, taking at least six class credits and being available for mandatory events. Applicants also must answer three essay questions and provide a resume.
