Discover Stout Visit Experience
Join us for a general admissions overview and student-guided walking tour! You'll hear from admissions counselors and current UW-Stout students who will personally guide you through campus and share everything you need to know about life at Stout.
Note: During summer visits, we also offer specialty facility tours for Art & Design, Engineering, and Hospitality. If you'd like to see lab spaces, be sure to register for one of these specialty visit options. You'll experience the traditional Discover Stout agenda plus an additional facility tour.
- Art, Design & Graphics Tour | Mondays | For majors in the Art, Design & Graphics career cluster.
- Hospitality Tour | Wednesdays | For majors in Real Estate Property Management, Golf Enterprise Management, and Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management.
- Engineering Tour | Thursdays | For majors in Engineering Technology, Mechanical, Computer & Electrical, and Manufacturing Engineering (Plastics Engineering & Packaging labs are not included on this tour).

Polytechnic Preview
The Polytechnic Preview provides a dynamic experience with informative sessions, engaging activities, and chances to connect with our faculty, staff, and current students. Students will participate in hands-on activities that reflect the unique polytechnic approach of UW-Stout.

Quick Stop Saturdays
This visit caters to those short on time! We will get you in and out with the most critical information. This visit will last under 2 hours and includes a general admissions session and campus walking tour only. Space is a bit more limited for this style of visit, so make sure to register ahead of time!

Academic Program Visit Experience
Join us for an academic-focused campus visit! This type of visit will last between 3-4 hours.
Note: Academic Program Visits are offered during the academic year only. Visits conclude May 8 and will resume on Monday, September 8, 2025. Registration for Fall 2025 visits opens in late May.

- Academic Meeting and/or Facility Tour: This varies depending on the major - you may meet with a faculty member or student ambassador, or you may take a specialized tour focused on your major of interest.
- Optional Lunch: A complimentary meal ticket for the Merle Price Commons is offered to the student and one guest (additional may be purchased).

Admitted Student Day
Want to affirm your decision to attend Stout? Attend our decision day specifically for admitted students. During our program you will dive a little deeper into what UW-Stout is all about, so you can make your final college decision and complete your next steps toward enrollment. This program is designed to help you learn more about UW-Stout. Students are not able to register for classes during this program.
Save the Date! Admitted Student Programs for Fall 2026 students are scheduled for February 20, March 6, and April 3, 2026. Registration will open in November 2025.

- 8:30 a.m. Check-in: Upon arrival, you'll receive a welcome bag filled with important information, along with refreshments to get you started.
- 8:45 a.m. Welcome: We'll kick off the day with a warm welcome and review of what to expect for the day.
- 9:00 a.m. Schedule Splits: Students will be guided through engaging micro lessons on a variety of topics around campus. Meanwhile, parents and supporters will attend tailored sessions to help support their student's transition to college.
- 11:30 a.m. Lunch: Enjoy a complimentary lunch at the Merle Price Commons.
- 12:20 p.m. Schedule Splits: Students will participate in a hands-on academic activity centered around their area of interest, while parents and supporters are invited to take a student-led tour of campus.
- 1:20 p.m. Optional Next Step Support: We'll wrap up with optional one-on-one meetings for personalized support with any outstanding enrollment steps. During this time, explore our Campus Resource Fair, where you'll have the chance to connect with key departments such as Housing, Dining, and Financial Aid.
Group Visits to UW-Stout
Admissions Group Visits are designed for groups of 6+ students in grades 9-12 (ex: college access groups, organizations, clubs, or high school groups). We enjoy organizing information sessions and campus tours with prospective college students in mind. Note: If you plan to bring 5 students or less, please use our regular weekday scheduling process and register each student individually.
