All Campers Receive

  • 4 hours (Junior STEAM) or 6 hours (STEAM) of hands-on instruction/lab time per weekday
  • Fun recreational, enrichment, and developmental activities
  • 10:1 camper-to-counselor ratio
  • Camp t-shirt
  • Meals: Lunch for commuter campers. All meals for residential campers.
  • Campus dormitory accommodations for residential campers

Scholarships

Apply for a Summer Camp Scholarship
If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please fill out this Scholarship Application. Scholarship recipients will be notified within two weeks of applying.

School Districts

  • Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Area School District and Grantsburg School District

    Thanks to the Parker-Hannifin Foundation, up to five students who attend Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Area School District or Grantsburg School District can register for one residential camp for free.

  • Chippewa Falls Unified School District

    Up to 11 students living in the Chippewa Falls Area School District can register for one residential camp for free.

  • Eau Claire Area School District

    Up to 63 students living in the Eau Claire Area School District can receive $345 off the camp registration fee.

  • School District of the Menomonie Area

    Up to 49 students living in the School District of the Menomonie Area can receive $345 off the camp registration fee.

Payment and Payment Plan Policy

Full payment or arrangement of a payment plan is due two weeks prior to the camp start date.

Payment plans can be setup in CampDoc.

 

Cancelation and Refund Policy

All cancelation requests must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable) by a parent or guardian.

Cancellations submitted at least two weeks prior to the start of camp will be eligible for a full refund, excluding any scholarship awards. Refund requests made after this deadline will be considered only under extenuating circumstances.

 

Program Changes and Cancelations Policy

The university reserves the right to make changes in programs and activities or to cancel programs if enrollment criteria are not met or when conditions beyond its control prevail. Every effort will be made to contact each attendee if a program is not held for any reason. The university's liability is limited to the refund of the program fee.

 

Camper Conduct Policy

UW-Stout reserves the right to dismiss any camper from the Junior STEAM or STEAM Summer Camps if their conduct, language, dress, or attitude is deemed inappropriate or disruptive. If, in the judgment of the camp administration and counseling staff, a camper’s behavior negatively impacts the well-being of others or the smooth operation of the camp, they may be dismissed. Parents or legal guardians will be notified prior to dismissal and are responsible for arranging the camper’s immediate departure from camp. No refunds will be issued in the event of dismissal due to misconduct.
