Get Ready to Start Stout!
Kick off your Stout experience with a high-energy Week One Orientation of campus traditions and local favorites that will quickly make you feel right at home.
It all begins with Blue Rah, our signature kickoff rally where music, lights, and school spirit set the tone for what’s ahead. From there, head to Backyard Bash our student organization fair, where hundreds of clubs and groups are ready to welcome you. Finally, get to know the community at Meet Menomonie.
Hosted on campus by the Menomonie Chamber of Commerce, this is a great event to pick up free stuff while learning about the local shops, restaurants, and more at this exclusive on-campus event designed just for you.
Spend the rest of the week with your orientation group getting to know your peers, campus, and prepping for your first year at Stout!

Each student is assigned a group schedule based on their on-campus living assignment or as part of a commuter group. Links to the group schedules can be found below. Students should check their UW-Stout email for an invitation from their WOO leaders regarding their Sunday meet-up location.
