Please, direct GPS Program questions to Career Services: careerservices@uwstout.edu.Social Media Coordinator – Men’s Hockey Job Description Overview: The University of Wisconsin-Stout men’s hockey is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to develop and improve the hockey team’s brand through day-to-day social messaging and large-scale campaigns. This position reports directly to the Head Coach and Assistant Coach of the men’s hockey team. The ideal candidate for this position will directly impact the creative strategy and vision for UW-Stout Hockey. They will be responsible for managing organizational social media accounts across platforms such as Instagram, and Twitter, as well as assisting fellow staff members in executing the overarching social strategy on additional secondary accounts. Estimated Hours Per 19 Week During Season: 10 hours Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Contribute to the overall creative strategy and vision for UW-Stout Hockey by creating and guiding content on official social media accounts Identify and engage with trending social media topics and movements to keep the organization at the forefront of the social media landscape Encourage active participation within UW-Stout Hockey’s social community by actively engaging with followers through direct communication via all platforms Lead exploration and expansion into new and emerging social media platforms on behalf of the organization Communicate with all departments within the organization to ensure all needs are met Regularly attend practices and games Preferred Qualifications: Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, and must work well in a team setting Ability to create, test, and evaluate content and understand what drives the engagement as a consumer of social media Exceptional time management and organizational skills to multi-task and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment Expertise in social media-required technical skills including platform management, analytics analysis, and capturing content using digital equipment Strong understanding of hockey, including both the professional and amateur hockey landscapes Candidates must be willing and able to work flexible hours Experience: No experience required
