In this role you will be responsible for a variety of tasks and responsibilities related to marketing, event coordination, and customer support. Intended for entry-level students, Educational Pathways and Outreach aims to support students in their professional growth. This position description encompasses the core responsibilities and competencies related to the Marketing and Events Assistant role, aligning with NACE competencies. RESPONSIBILITIESMarketing Tasks and Responsibilities:• Conduct thorough research to understand target audiences, including their motivators, and create appropriate style, tone, and voice in marketing communications.• Collaborate with team members to develop compelling copy for training programs and events, utilizing both traditional (print) and digital media (email, social media).• Assist in maintaining the department's social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, including responding to individual interactions.• Generate creative ideas to promote Educational Pathways and Outreach programs and events on social media platforms to increase visibility and engagement.• Analyze data to measure website visits, conversion rates, and user behavior, providing valuable insights to shape new digital marketing strategies.• Actively participate in the development of comprehensive marketing plans for Educational Pathways and Outreach initiatives.• Provide input on updating the Educational Pathways and Outreach website, ensuring content is accurate, relevant, and engaging.• Serve as a liaison with the Marketing and Communications (MARCOM) team for marketing and graphic design support related to Educational Pathways and Outreach. Wellness PRO (Peer Reaching Out) Educator The Wellness PRO position is both challenging and rewarding. A Wellness PRO works closely with the Health Promotions Manager, Outreach Graduate Assistant, and fellow Wellness PROs to provide outreach programs and activities to the UW-Stout campus community. A Wellness PRO’s responsibilities include planning and presenting program materials to students in residence halls, fitness center, memorial student center and larger campus-wide events. Wellness PROs present programs and tabling event on topics related to both mental and physical health. This position provides many opportunities to develop written and oral communication skills, and learn about mental and physical health topics and health promotion. Roles and Responsibilities Attend weekly team meetings and training sessions Practice a healthy and responsible lifestyle Available for program presentations and events Work collaboratively with Student Health Services, University Counseling Center and other campus departments Attend regularly scheduled office hours and work on assigned tasks Check email daily, reply promptly and appropriately Develop, revise, and promote programs Potential to train new Wellness PROs after first completed semester Acknowledge and respect different identities and life experiences. The Department of the Performing and Visual Arts– Theatre area is looking to hire two student workers. These individuals will provide the behind-the-scenes support to set-up and dismantle staging, building various set designs, assistance with sound and lighting, and assistance in the University Theatre through the production season. Job duties include but are not limited to construction of scenery of University Theatre productions, upkeep of shop and theatre spaces, possible technical crew assistance. Candidates must already have, or willing to be Yellow, Blue, Orange and Green Trained and be able to safely operate scene shop power tools, read and work with SAE measuring tapes and rulers, be able to add, subtract and divide fractions in 1/2, 1/8” and 1/16” increments, be able to lift 75 pounds and possess a positive attitude. Punctuality and preparedness are expected.
