Four UW-Stout students awarded national Print and Graphics scholarships

Students from three majors recognized, part of 162 honored nationally

Four University of Wisconsin-Stout students are among 162 nationwide who have received renewable scholarships from the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation.

The foundation recently announced the 2022-23 awards, which totaled a record $551,000 to students at 83 universities and colleges. More than 600 students applied.

PGSF offers scholarships to students interested in pursuing careers related to the graphic communications industry and provides financial assistance to industry workers seeking to further their education.

UW-Stout’s awardees and their majors are:

Awards for the UW-Stout students averaged nearly $5,000, about $1,500 higher than the national average.

The scholarships are renewable for up to four years, providing the student maintains at least a 3.0 grade point average and is enrolled full time in a related program.

“PGSF has allowed me so much peace of mind when it comes to affording school,” Scholes said. “That’s left more room for me to take opportunities that I normally wouldn’t have and to explore the graphic communications major at UW-Stout beyond what I could have ever imagined.”

Applications for 2023-24 scholarships open in November 2022.
