This opportunity will allow you to gain hands-on experience working with collegiate athletics. Assisting in practice, helping with recruiting, and the daily operations of our football program will provide you with transferable skills applicable to various professions. Duties includemonitoring the psychology department front deskgreeting and directing department visitors (phone and in-person)completing and complying with university and departmental cleaning proceduresmonitoring and restocking department supply inventory (e.g., periodically checking and restocking printer paper supply)running errands for the department. Other relevant tasks in support of the department may be assigned as needed. These duties are supervised by the Academic Department Assistant and the Department Chair. Work hours will fall during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) and will be coordinated with the course schedule of the student hired for the position. Students in this position will not be required to work on holidays or breaks (e.g., Thanksgiving break, semester break). Applicants must be first-year, second-year, or new transfer students. Applicants should have good organizational and time-management skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work well with a wide range of people.
