Renee Eide has received the University Staff Employee Appreciation Award for September at UW-Stout.

Eide, of Cedar Falls, is an academic department associate for the counseling, rehabilitation and human services department. She has worked at UW-Stout since 1991.

“It’s great working with such an appreciative department. In fact, it is all the wonderful colleagues I have worked with who have kept me here all these years,” she said.

The person nominating Eide stated: "Renee has shown constant support to the instructors in the department. She exceeds the expectations of a department associate and is truly part of our academic/departmental family. Renee was here when I was an undergraduate student under a different role and has demonstrated her dedication and commitment for many, many years.

“Renee has worked tirelessly on several projects. This past semester, our department underwent two position searches. Renee organized all calls, set up meeting times, gathered needed forms, etc. Renee also was pivotal in serving the needs of the Clinical Services Center during the summer. It seems that Renee goes above and beyond in the various hats and in her role. Renee is positive, yet realistic. She is invested in the well-being of the department."

Each employee of the month receives a certificate of recognition and a gift presented by Chancellor Katherine Frank.

Students, faculty and staff may nominate university staff members who demonstrate a commitment to excellence and the university community.

The award, in its 17th year, was established by the Chancellor’s Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
