Position Overview:Officiate Intramural Sports including: basketball, flag football, soccer, softball, and volleyball. Maintain a high sense of integrity while consistently and fairly enforcing the rules of the game. Sport experience preferred however not necessary as training will be provided.Position Duties and Responsibilities: Attend all required meetings and trainings Officiate Intramural Sports games Enforce all Intramural Sports rules and policies Set up the activity area at the beginning of every shift Examine the playing surface before every game to ensure safe playing conditions Use appropriate signals and mechanics Maintain a high level of sportsmanship Communicate any problems or concerns to the supervisor Provide sportsmanship ratings after each Intramural Sports contest to the supervisor Maintain Intramural Sports equipment Breakdown the activity area at the end of every shift Provide excellent customer service to participants Resolve conflict within the frame of Intramural Sports competition Accept feedback from Supervisors and look to improve each shiftQualifications: Must be able to lift/carry/move at least 40 pounds Must be able to run and stand for extended periods of time Will be exposed to variety of weather conditions, including: heat, cold, rain, wind, snow, etc. Position requires athletic apparel and athletic shoes

This position promotes involvement on campus, provides overall support to student organizations, and assists students looking to get involved. This position provides exceptional customer service to all regarding services offered in the Involvement Center and maintains a general knowledge of other involvement opportunities on campus.This position staffs and hosts a variety of events which requires an outgoing, proactive and adaptable approach. Each employee is expected to support and contribute to the fulfillment of the Involvement Center and Memorial Student Center mission.SPECIFIC DUTIES:1. Staff the Involvement Center front desk, events and programs:Provide customer service to student organizations and students looking to get involvedWork and staff Involvement sponsored programs and events such as social events (i.e. bingos, craft nights), civic engagement/volunteer events, honors and celebration programs, campus Preview Days, Family Weekend, and more.Perform daily administrative tasks such as sorting the mail, answering phone calls and general campus questions. Check and respond to emails for the Involvement Center e-mail addresses2. Support all student organizations through resources such as poster printing, storage cabinets, mailboxes, equipment checkout, & Creation Station assistance while providing exceptional customer service3. Work with CONNECT on a daily basis to:Create the daily email (Campus Life Today) utilizing extreme attention to detail and proofreading skillsManage Involvement services via CONNECT surveys and formsServe as a CONNECT trainer for all student organizations and studentsProvide outreach to campus to increase CONNECT usageCommunicate with student orgs and the campus communityCreate and advertise all events for the Involvement Center within CONNECT4.
