UW-Stout's History Teaching Minor offers you the background, content, and strategies necessary for optimal teaching of history. You can enhance your students' understandings of world events, dynamic people, and places. Our program is designed to complement your K-12 or 6-12 teaching license and will enhance your marketability in the education field.

Note: Admission to the History Teaching Minor has been suspended due to licensure changes by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Students who have declared this teaching minor prior to this date are able to complete the minor. Please contact Dr. Chris Marshall, History Teaching Minor advisor, with any questions.

To declare a minor, complete the "Applying for a Minor" survey online, and you will be given further instructions. Once this has been processed you will receive an email confirmation from the Advisement Center.
