"While I am only eight months out of school, I have already found a job I enjoy and accomplished paying off all of my students loans!"
McKenna Heck enjoyed everything about her Stout experience and believed her time here was one of the best things that ever happened to her. Heck liked the small community-feel Stout and Menomonie offered her. She liked walking around campus, bumping into friends on her way to class or the commons. Heck met some of her best friends at Stout and received quality education from amazing educators in the Interior Design program.
"I actually liked Stout so much that my younger sister toured and ended up becoming a Stoutie as well," Heck said. "We lived together off-campus for a year, and it was a really special thing to be able to do at a school we both love."
Heck is passionate about Interior Design. She was hired before graduation and is working at Finished Basement Company, a residential design/build company in Minneapolis.
"While I am only eight months out of school, I have already found a job I really enjoy and accomplished paying off all of my students loans!" Heck said.
Heck loves being a part of the design and construction teams and utilizing 3D modeling software to show clients her designs. She also enjoys making connections with the families she works with and finding ways to improve how families function in their homes, as well as make homes more beautiful.
