Hi! I’m a wildlife biologist and associate professor of biology at UW-Stout. I’m passionate about conservation and quantitative ecology, and my research focuses on how human activities – from hunting to wind energy generation to habitat restoration – affect wildlife populations.

I joined the faculty here in 2015, and since then I’ve taught a variety of courses for both undergraduates and graduate students. My favorite classes to teach are biostatistics, ecology, and wildlife conservation. Stout’s polytechnic mission is at the heart of my teaching style, and I try to engage students in lots of active, hands-on learning in my courses.
