Approximately 60 health, wellness, food and other vendors will be at UW-Stout's Wellness Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, in the Multipurpose Room of the Sports and Fitness Center, 220 13th Ave. E.

The annual event also will feature students majoring in health, wellness and fitness providing information on topics they have researched. The topics include caffeine, stress, alcohol, drug addiction, sugary drinks, eating on a budget, weightlifting form, flexibility and range of motion, fad diets and fueling the body.

Free parking will be available in lots 29 and 34, on the east side of the building, off 13th Avenue.

Mackenzie Stutzman“The fair is put on by the Campus Wellness Committee with the aim to provide a space for the community to access and learn about local businesses and services,” said co-director Mackenzie Stutzman, University Recreation fitness coordinator.

The fair, the largest of its kind in Dunn County with about 700 visitors, is free and open to the public.

Vendor booths — about a dozen vendors are new this year — will have product and food samples and information. Also, attendees can get a massage, try a fitness challenge, try yoga and have their feet evaluated.

Among the door prizes will be a bicycle donated by the Chancellor’s Office and Simple Sports.

Visitors are encouraged to bring a reusable bag to collect handouts. A blood donation drive will be held by the American Red Cross, and nonperishable food items will be collected for the food pantry at Stepping Stones of Dunn County.
