Apply on Connect!https://cglink.me/2db/s69299 POSITIONBuilding - Technician IDEPARTMENTEvent Technology CrewDIVSIONMemorial Student Center & University CentersREPORTS TOTechnical Supervisor & Assistant Technical SupervisorSCOPE OF POSITIONThis is an on-campus student position that requires technicians to set-up, tear down, and operate sound reinforcement systems, lighting systems, projection equipment, communications equipment, and in-house systems located within the Student Centers.SPECIFIC DUTIES-Work shifts assigned by the Assistant Technical & Technical Supervisor, (weekly and event based shifts)-Complete training program in allotted amount of time taking the initiative to ensure all training areas and goals are met-Maintain deatailed log of daily shift notes-Attend all required ETC meetings and training programs-Complete projects, inventory, and training as assigned-Observe safety procedures in the execution of job functions and maintain a safe work environment.-Work in a professional manner acting as a UW-Stout and Student Centers representative.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS-Interest in Audio/Visual aspects of events and systems-Willingness to learn through hands-on experience-18 years of age-Capable of lifting 50 pounds-At least two full semesters remaining as a UW-Stout student at the time of application-Remain in good academic standing (both cumulative and last semester’s GPA of at least 2.0)-Willing to work flexible hours including weekdays, evenings, and weekends-Able to work at least 8 to 15 hours a week, not to exceed 25 hoursPREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS-Have a valid driver’s license with at least two years licensed driving experience-May not have acquired 3 or more moving violations &/or at-fault accidents in the last 2 years-May not have acquired any OWI or DUI citations within the last 12 months
