The Department of the Performing and Visual Arts– Theatre area is looking to hire two student workers. These individuals will provide the behind-the-scenes support to set-up and dismantle staging, building various set designs, assistance with sound and lighting, and assistance in the University Theatre through the production season. Job duties include but are not limited to construction of scenery of University Theatre productions, upkeep of shop and theatre spaces, possible technical crew assistance. Candidates must already have, or willing to be Yellow, Blue, Orange and Green Trained and be able to safely operate scene shop power tools, read and work with SAE measuring tapes and rulers, be able to add, subtract and divide fractions in 1/2, 1/8” and 1/16” increments, be able to lift 75 pounds and possess a positive attitude. Punctuality and preparedness are expected.
