Please, direct GPS Program questions to Career Services: careerservices@uwstout.edu.TRIO SSS Desk Assistant TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Desk Assistants support the office by being the main point of contact for appointments and visitors to the TRIO offices. This position includes social media management, reviewing daily office schedules, checking people in for their appointments, communicating with staff about visitors, providing information to visitors, general office space cleaning and maintenance, checking out TRIO resources, and periodic office projects as directed by staff. These projects could include decorating, filing, organization, etc. as assigned.   This work will be completed in an in-person format and does not include virtual work. This job is only available for undergraduate students. Unfortunately, this position is not available to international students as you must be also be a TRIO participant and the TRIO program is federally funded to serve only U.S. citizens.  Provide single staff front desk coverage for the TRIO SSS program office. TRIO SSS office hours are Monday thru Friday 8am-4:30pm. Schedules will be built around your class schedule and will be assigned on a first come-first served basis. Those employees that submit their next semester schedules first will receive priority scheduling. Because of the course registration systems on campus this means that upperclassmen will also receive priority by default. This position will also require attendance at TRIO events to gather photographs, filming, and information gathering. If you are unable to attend events it is your responsibility to find a replacement to document these events. This documentation is extremely important to several efforts of the program.  Responsibilities:  Assisting with participant appointment check in process and setting appointments. Reviewing office schedules. Finding and providing campus information to visitors. Opening shared spaces for participants. Maintaining office cleanliness and organization. Assisting participants in checking out resources. Assisting participants with student printers. Assisting with office projects. Manage and maintain social media platforms. Create flyers, posts, tik toks, handouts, invitations etc. using Canva for various events. Assisting in developing the content calendar. Actively research and ideate new and trending efforts to attract student attention. Represent TRIO SSS in recordings and online platforms in a manner that is consistent with university standards Support staff during outreach events by speaking to students about the TRIO Programs. Complete Marketing and Social Media project requests as needed. Qualifications: Be a current TRIO SSS Participant Be familiar with TRIO SSS and have a clear understanding of the program policies Be in good academic standing. Strong interpersonal skills
