You will be paid for your orientation, assessment, and 1:1 coaching appointments with a Career Services Career Coach. Please, direct GPS Program questions to Career Services: careerservices@uwstout.edu. FabLab Technical Support IIThis is a paid position that works directly with faculty and staff researchers to design and develop innovative products.Duties/Responsibilities:§ Assist in set-up and operation of Fab Lab equipment.§ Monitor the function and safety of the lab during open lab time.§ Complete work assignments as expected with minimal direction§ Work with students to develop solutions to problems, which requires the use of ingenuity and creativity§ Complete outreach projects for small businesses and entrepreneurs, applying degree specific skills§ Other tasks as neededSkills/Profile:§ Knowledge of materials processing methods§ Experience working with CNC equipment§ Ability to design electronic circuits§ Good working knowledge of design, modeling and building processes§ Familiarity with Linux operating system§ Working knowledge of computer networking Approximately 10 to 15 hours per weekTo apply please send a one-page summary of your qualifications to:Mike CroppDiscovery Center Fab Lab Manager croppm@uwstout.eduThe Discovery Center FABLAB is a workshop for creative, high-tech innovators and people who have a need to design, prototype and build things.
