Please, direct GPS Program questions to Career Services: careerservices@uwstout.edu.Role Description The Performing Arts area is seeking a student project assistant to assist in administrative tasks of the band, choir, and theater programs.   Specific Duties Maintain a social media presence for the Performing Arts area.Coordinate performance publicity.Assist in creating and printing performance posters and programs.Conduct audience research for marketing purposes.Assist in organizing music, play scripts, and other material. Requirements Assist faculty and other student staff efficiently by becoming familiar with operations in the Performing Arts.Availability to work roughly 5 hours per week (varies during the semester).Availability to work some evenings and weekends (near performances). Desired Qualifications Good writing communication.Good organization skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Familiarity with Facebook and Instagram.Effective and professional communication skills in person and virtually.Basic understanding of the performing arts is a plus. Background The UW-Stout Performing Arts is an academic area that provides opportunities for students to perform with bands, choirs, and theatre, directed by full-time faculty. Combined, the UW-Stout Performing Arts area sees close to 200 students participating per semester in six music ensembles and theatre production. Their public performances attract close to 1000 audience members each semester from both general public and students in the area.
