MARKETING AND EVENTS ASSISTANT | Student Employee | Fall 2024 & Spring 20258-10 Hours Weekly | $11/HourJ OB DESCRIPTIONEducational Pathways and Outreach is seeking a highly motivated student employee to join our team as a Marketing and Events Assistant. In this role you will be responsible for a variety of tasks and responsibilities related to marketing, event coordination, and customer support. Intended for entry-level students, Educational Pathways and Outreach aims to support students in their professional growth. This position description encompasses the core responsibilities and competencies related to the Marketing and Events Assistant role, aligning with NACE competencies. Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs and priorities. RESPONSIBILITIESMarketing Tasks and Responsibilities:• Conduct thorough research to understand target audiences, including their motivators, and create appropriate style, tone, and voice in marketing communications.• Collaborate with team members to develop compelling copy for training programs and events, utilizing both traditional (print) and digital media (email, social media).• Assist in maintaining the department's social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, including responding to individual interactions.• Generate creative ideas to promote Educational Pathways and Outreach programs and events on social media platforms to increase visibility and engagement.• Analyze data to measure website visits, conversion rates, and user behavior, providing valuable insights to shape new digital marketing strategies.• Actively participate in the development of comprehensive marketing plans for Educational Pathways and Outreach initiatives.• Provide input on updating the Educational Pathways and Outreach website, ensuring content is accurate, relevant, and engaging.• Serve as a liaison with the Marketing and Communications (MARCOM) team for marketing and graphic design support related to Educational Pathways and Outreach.
