Student Team Manager – Men’s Hockey Job Description Overview: The University of Wisconsin-Stout men’s hockey team is seeking a high energy, highly efficient equipment manager with a drive and passion towards career growth in a hockey organization. The ideal candidate will be professional, highly organized, and should be well versed in all the current hockey equipment items and processes. Estimated Hours Per 19 Week During Season: 15 hours Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Complete maintenance and care of our locker room and team equipment Prepare benches and penalty box areas for practices and games Ensure players have well maintained equipment Maintain equipment inventory Be on site for all home and away practices and games for the 2022-2023 season Professionally prepare locker room on game days Other duties and responsibilities as need by the team Set up and operate camera for practices Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the sport of hockey Process oriented, organized, and strong computer skills to maintain inventory and equipment Must have strong initiative and work ethic and be able to function with minimal/without direction and supervision Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be a “team player” and flexible to constant changes Must be detail oriented, professional, passionate, positive, and pro-active A strong work-ethic Active collaborator Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Punctual, professional, dependable, and reliable Ability to problem solve, multi-task, handle and prioritize a heavy workload and perform under pressure Proven ability to maintain discretion and confidential sensitive information Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work long hours on feet Experience: No experience required
