You will be paid for your orientation, assessment, and 1:1 coaching appointments with a Career Services Career Coach. Please, direct GPS Program questions to Career Services: careerservices@uwstout.edu. Job Description We employ enthusiastic and friendly student staff who proudly represent UW–Stout. As a tour guide, you will assist in the recruitment process of new students by providing an excellent experience for visiting families and students. This includes sharing your personal, current-student perspective, but also detailed information about campus. As a tour guide, you will be responsible for making guests feel welcome and comfortable and providing an inclusive environment for all. The Office of Admissions offers large open house opportunities for guests to enjoy a longer Stout experience (Campus Preview Days and Stout Saturdays). You will be expected to work on these events unless you have class. Also, we offer Group Visits to high schools across Minnesota and Wisconsin to come to visit campus. Those would be additional shifts added randomly throughout the semester. When you are not giving tours during your shift, you will assist with greeting and checking in visitors, making visitor bags, writing postcards, running errands, and other special projects/duties as assigned.   Qualifications/Required Skills Willingness to learn or experience with: Ability to share your pride and positive experiences at UW-Stout Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills Positive/approachable attitude General working knowledge of campus Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Professionalism, including Reliability, punctuality, and dependability Ability to present and represent the university with enthusiasm Patience, flexibility, and self-confidence Ability to give and receive feedback effectively Excitement and pride for UW-Stout Hours per Week Academic Year: 3-10 hours*  Summer: 10-20 hours* *Flexible with your schedule/other commitments
