I’m excited for what the future holds as I grow in my digital marketing career.
Initially, Holly Solomon started her college career in marketing at UW-Eau Claire. But she soon transferred to UW-Stout for the online Digital Marketing Technology program.
"Stout's flexible online program and dynamic emphasis on the digital side of marketing piqued my interest. The program enabled me to learn what the industry is demanding," Solomon said.
Solomon benefitted from how interactive her online courses were. She appreciated the involvement of her professors, from posting online videos or setting up Skype for business calls. Solomon felt her professors truly cared about her success. She also enjoyed collaborating with other online students.
Even with her professors' support and the flexibility of the online program, Solomon found it challenging to strike a balance between her work, school and personal life. However, these challenges helped her develop vital soft skills like prioritization, time management and organization.
"It’s been a positive learning experience," Solomon said.
Solomon was hired as a digital marketing specialist by D.R. Horton in the Twin Cities before graduation.
"I am thankful for the educational experience I’ve received at UW-Stout. Learning never ends if there is a spirit of curiosity and an attitude of action," Solomon said.
