Brief Biography

Born and raised in Southern California, Melinda Hagenson received her bachelor's degree in English at the University of California, Berkeley and did her graduate work at the University of Southern California (USC). She has been teaching college-level English and writing since 1995 and has been at UW-Stout since 2007.

Teaching Interests: Melinda's primary goal as a teacher of first-year writing is to encourage her students to develop the critical thinking, reading, and writing skills that will carry them through the rest of their college years and beyond.
