The majority of construction projects managed by general contractors include work scope for both mechanical and electrical systems that make up a significant percentage of their total probable cost.  The work is typically subcontracted to specialty firms in these two fields.

The minor in Mechanical and Electrical Construction provides you with additional course curriculum to enhance your knowledge in the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) field of construction.

Our Construction major offers a 3-credit class for Mechanical and another 3-credit class for Electrical.  This minor provides advanced learning with three additional classes plus a requirement for a co-op experience working for either a mechanical or electrical firm.
