History as a discipline consists of methods for a rigorous study of the past. Historical inquiry often aims to better understand the present and engage in humankind’s collective work to attain a better future.

Your History minor will introduce you to the skills of the historian, particularly the skills of research, critical analysis, and effective communication. You may gain training in generating and disseminating new knowledge and interpretations of the past through innovative research.
