Why did you choose UW-Stout?When I came to visit campus on preview day it instantly felt like I belonged here. The campus is perfect, and I liked knowing that my class sizes wouldn’t be that large. I visited many other campuses, and they just didn’t feel right. After visiting with Dr. Mark Fenton and listening to the types of classes I would take, I knew this was the place for me. Stout is also very close to home, so it made it very convenient to keep in touch with family.
What are the biggest challenges you faced in earning your degree? Time management. I loved to be involved, but I had to remind myself that I was here to go to school not just to work on campus and be in clubs. Stout’s social life is just so great that I wanted to be involved. Wanting to be in everything also taught me amazing time management and how to balance everything and learn to say no.
What stands out among your college experiences? The relationships I’ve made with staff and students as well as my study abroad experiences. I fully encourage everyone to do at least one study abroad before they graduate. The relationships I’ve made I will cherish forever and hope to keep in touch with most of the people I’ve met here.
What’s next? I will be moving to Eden Prairie, Minn., and working for Bigos Management as an assistant property manager.
