"As the testing coordinator, Ginger has a great deal of logistical information to coordinate to ensure students receive their accommodations and have a stress-reduced experience. She goes above and beyond to assist students and ensures the testing environment has a calm presence. She reaches out when she notices a student may be experiencing challenges during testing. Ginger's caring presence makes the testing center a positive experience for students.

"Ginger never hesitates to assist co-workers in their roles and is always ready to take on an extra project. She is great at acknowledging special accomplishments of students and co-workers. She greets everyone with a smile and kind word.

"Ginger loves her job. It is great to have a co-worker who enjoys showing up for a new day in the office and is aware of the positive impact her work has for those who utilize DS resources."

Each employee of the month receives a certificate of recognition and a gift presented by Chancellor Katherine Frank. The award, in its 19th year, was established by the Chancellor’s Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
