Nora Winkler received the University Staff Appreciation Award for December 2025.
Winkler is an office manager in Career Services. The individual nominating her stated, "Nora has demonstrated her commitment to the university and Career Services in several ways. Notably, her approach to serving our students, supporting our staff through project details and collaborating with our campus partners to help support our mission, vision and uphold our values. She puts in the work needed to help keep our office's operations, service, and engagement at a high level, and does so with authenticity.
"Nora has a service mindset. She is a strong advocate for students’ needs and recognizes our office's importance in delivering the support students need. Her attitude can be seen when unique challenges arise, whether it is a data-informed report, a purchase or operational process carried out, or an office staff need; her answer is simply, "How can I help get you what you need?" Nora is incredibly dependable, collaborative and shows a willingness to put in the work. We are fortunate to have her skills and personality as part of the Career Services office."
Each employee of the month receives a certificate of recognition and a gift presented by Chancellor Katherine Frank. The award, in its 21st year, was established by the Chancellor’s Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
