The individuals nominating Julie stated: “Julie is the face of the Financial Aid and Student Employment Office. Financial aid can be a tough area to navigate for new students and their families. She is very knowledgeable in all aspects of financial aid and can answer any question. She is patient with students and families who have difficulties navigating the FAFSA website. She is an asset to our office, campus and students. Julie is also our office's work-study supervisor. She advertises our positions, hires and trains students. She has a good eye for hiring exactly who we need.”

Each employee of the month receives a certificate of recognition and a gift presented by Chancellor Katherine Frank. The award, in its 19th year, was established by the Chancellor’s Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
