"The late-night shift comes with many challenges, much different than the morning and lunchtime shifts. Jodi is used to being understaffed and having less support than a day shift, when there are managers in the building. It's an awkward time frame. You have to replan your life around a late-night shift. It's not like you get off work at 6 p.m. and can meet friends for dinner. The late-night shift often gets out after 1 a.m. Jodi has been our solid, dependable late-night leader for many years. She has always been able to form a good connection with the students. They seem to all have an 'in it together' team mentality. Jodi has a positive attitude toward her customers and peers and a good bond with her closing teams."
Each employee of the month receives a certificate of recognition and a gift presented by Chancellor Katherine Frank. The award, in its 19th year, was established by the Chancellor’s Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
