Costs and Resources

Costs

The Master of Fine Arts degree is a differential customized instruction tuition program, which means that the tuition per credit hour for each UW-Stout course taken to fulfill the MFA program curriculum is $650 per credit hour for Wisconsin residents, and $1,300 for non-residents. Textbook rental and/or textbook purchase is not included in the tuition per credit hour fee.

Please note that the Wisconsin GI Bill does not cover all tuition costs for customized instruction programs like the MFA. Visit UW-Stout's Veterans' Services office (715-232-1659) for more information.
