Course Sequence

 Students are admitted to the program once a year as a small cohort group which proceeds through the program together. In the first year, students take courses in psychology, measurement, education, assessment and counseling.

After satisfactorily completing a thesis and 30 credit hours, students earn the M.S.Ed. degree.

In the second year of the program, students complete the additional coursework required for certification as a school psychologist. Students typically complete specialist thesis and a 1,200-hour internship during the third year (the first year of employment). The Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree is awarded after students satisfactorily complete all course, certificate/licensure and degree requirements.
