Computer Labs

Through the eStout program, the University of Wisconsin—Stout is a laptop campus. All students are provided with a laptop computer and software appropriate to their field of study. As a part of the laptop initiative, there are special classrooms in both the Applied Arts Building and Micheels Hall, that extend the capabilities of laptop computers by providing plasma screens and mice at each desk.

There are also dedicated computer labs configured for each of the design concentrations with desktop computers, special hardware and software specific to the concentration. The graphic design computer lab is located on the first floor of the Applied Arts Building. On the first floor of Micheels hall, adjoining the large general access computer lab, is a dedicated lab for multimedia design. The second floor of the Applied Arts Building, across from the Student Gallery, houses computer labs for both industrial design and interior design.
