The School is dedicated to delivering highly creative and applied design experiences for students, and our graduates exemplify UW-Stout's reputation for art and design leadership and research for studios, organizations, private and public companies. 

Department of Art and Art History

Dedicated to excellence, the Department of Art and Art History is offers the foundational courses that teach the skills and historic knowledge to master both the fine arts and the design disciplines. Art metals, drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics and art history are housed within this department.

Department of Design

Pushing the cutting edge, the Department of Design includes majors in Graphic Design and Interactive Media, Industrial Design, Interior Design and Entertainment Design. These intensive courses of study create future leaders by giving them the expertise to outshine the competition.
