Mission
The purpose of the Counseling Center is to contribute to the intellectual, emotional, and relational health and development of students. (revised Fall 2006)

Eligibility/Costs
Confidential counseling services are available free of charge to currently enrolled students. Faculty and staff are eligible for screening and referral through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Some fees are associated with Testing and Alcohol & Other Drug Education services.
Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The Counseling Center is open year-round, including Fall and Spring semesters, WinTerm and Summer Session. We are closed on designated holidays as indicated on the UW-Stout annual calendar, and on selected days during breaks and summer to accommodate staff vacations.

If You Need Immediate Assistance...
If you or a friend are experiencing a crisis (e.g., unable to stop crying, thoughts of hurting yourself or others, not eating or sleeping for days, unable to go to class because of stress) call 715-232-2468 or walk in during regular office hours and request to be seen as soon as possible.
