Ride the Bus

Local Buses

UW-Stout partners with Dunn County Transit to provide students and staff with routes to get around campus, Menomonie, and to Eau Claire. Students, faculty, and staff ride for free with a UW-Stout ID.

StoutRoute | Campus Bus

Bus runs Monday through Friday on a rotation between Red Cedar Hall, the Clock Tower, and the UW-Stout Library, from about 7:00am to 9:00pm.

North/South City Route | Route 2

Bus runs Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm to the following locations: Marketplace Foods, Walmart, The Raw Deal, Memorial Student Center, South Hall, Galloway Creek Apartments, Fryklund Drive & Micheels Lane, 21st Avenue & 5th Street, Senior Center, Government Center, UW-Stout Clock Tower, the Public Library,  K-Mart, and more.  Download a PDF bus schedule/map here.

Evening Service for North/South City Route (Route 2A)

Bus runs from 5:30pm to 9:15pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights.  Download a PDF bus schedule/map here.


East City Route | Route 1

Bus runs Monday-Friday from 6:15am to 6:00pm to the following locations: Dunn County Health Care Center, Red Cedar Medical Center, Government Center, Lammers, Dunn County Fairgrounds, the food pantry, CVTC, Marshfield Clinic, and 3 trips to Eau Claire ($2.50 one-way fare for trips to Eau Claire).  Download a PDF bus schedule/map here.

Regional Bus

Jefferson Lines

Bus service is available from Minneapolis to Milwaukee with stops in St. Paul, Menomonie, Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Stanley, Abbotsford, Wausau, Wittenburg, Shawano, Green Bay, Manitowoc,  and Sheboygan.
