I LOVE Tap Water Campaign

In 2010, we began the I LOVE TAP WATER campaign, a campus-wide campaign aimed at promoting tap water consumption on our campus, and consequently reducing plastic bottle consumption.  Across the campus, we are installing "hydration stations" -- stations that dispense filtered tap water -- to make it easier for students, faculty, and staff to refill their water bottles with tap water.

I LOVE Tap Water Refillable Bottles

While attending this year's Fall Engagement Sessions, about 560 faculty and staff members received stainless steel water bottles, to coincide with UW-Stout's I LOVE TAP WATER campaign.

Hydration Stations

After an installation of over 50 hydration stations, there is now at least one hydration station in each building across campus. Each hydration station counts the plastic bottles that have been saved from the landfill. From 2011 to March 2013, over 900,000 plastic bottles have been saved.
