Application Deadlines: March 15 | April 15
On Campus | Students are admitted to the on campus program for the summer and fall sessions of each year. Applications are accepted through March 15th of the year in which admission is desired. Applications received after the March 15th deadline may be considered based on available openings in the on campus program.
Online | Students are admitted to the online program for the fall session of each year. Applications are accepted through April 15 for the following academic year. Space is limited and early application is strongly encouraged. Applications received after the April 15 deadline may be considered for the following year on a space-available basis.
How do I apply?
The admission process requires two separate applications. First, an application to the Graduate School must be submitted (follow steps 1-3 below). Second, submit the application materials to the M.S. in Vocational Rehabilitation Program (step 4 below):
Submit to the Graduate School:
- Step 1: Graduate School Application
- Step 2: Application fee ($45.00 U.S. payable to UW-Stout).

Step 3: Official transcripts (two (2) copies).
Submit to the Department of Rehabilitation and Counseling:
The following materials must be submitted to the M.S. in Vocational Rehabilitation (MSVR) Admissions Committee on or before March 15 or April 15 of the year in which admission is required.

Program Application materials include four areas:- General Application Information
- Current Resume
- Written statement (see details on application)
- Three letters of reference or reference questionnaires
