General UW-Stout Graduate Studies Application Process

All prospective students must follow a standard application processes which includes a general application for graduate study at UW-Stout.  Information is available on the Graduate Studies website.

Additional Application Requirements

To apply, prospective students must also submit a program application form and recommendations from these people (e.g. previous supervisors, mentors, employers, colleagues and others). These may be completed and emailed to or mailed to Dr. Dale Hawley, 221 Vocational Rehabilitation Bldg., UW-Stout, Menomonie, WI 54751.

The Marriage and Family Therapy program only accepts full-time students. To be admitted with full status you must:

  • Hold an appropriate bachelor's degree from an accredited college
  • Have an overall grade point average of at least 2.75

Applicants are strongly advised to complete the admissions process prior to February 1, later applicants will be considered on a space available basis.
