What is a Program Plan?

A program plan outlines the courses that you will take in your program. It is to be completed by you and your program director, and is dependent upon the concentration that you choose. At the end of second semester, file the application for degree candidacy and attach your program plan (signed by your and the program director) with the Graduate School. Include a completed request to transfer credit if needed. Make arrangements to have the institution from which you wish to transfer credit to forward an official transcript directly to the Graduate School.

NOTE: Once the program plan is filed, any changes in courses taken must be indicated by submitting a revised program plan to the Graduate School.

Select a program concentration:

Selecting a concentration may be delayed until the second semester of your first year. Several professional preparation courses apply to more than one concentration. You may change your concentration at any time, but changing it during your second year may delay your graduation by one or more semesters.

Course Numbering System | Course Descriptions

Courses numbered 500 or greater are restricted to graduate students only. In the food and nutritional sciences master's program, 20 credits must be taken at 700 level or above. A description of how to read the course numbers and detailed description of courses are found in the Graduate Bulletin.
