Do I have to take the GRE or any other entrance exam?

No.

 

Are there assistantships available?

Yes.

 

Are there summer and night classes available?

Yes, some.

 

Do I have to do a thesis?

No. But this is one of several options.

 

Do you accept part-time students?

Yes, but it will take longer to get the degree.

 

Are classes small enough?

Yes, usually less than 20.

 

Are there good jobs available for those with an Applied Psychology masters degree?

Yes, you can work in industry, health organizations, education and government doing applied research, testing, evaluation and programming.

 

Are faculty accessible?

Yes, we pride ourselves in being able provide close faculty contact with our students.

 

Are there opportunities for hands-on experience?

Yes, we have been successful in getting students working in real-world environments during their first year. In our program, education is not limited to the classroom. It only begins there.

 

Is there an application deadline?

Applications are accepted year round.

 

What do I need to apply?

The following is requested when applying:

  1. Complete application (please use pen or type).

  2. Sample of writing.

  3. Eight semester credits in research methods (including 1 course in statistics).

  4. Fifteen semester credits of Psychology.

  5. Statement of goals in this program. This should be a three-page statement addressing educational, academic, employment history and personal goals

  6. Three letters of reference mailed directly to the address below. Completed Graduate School Application.
